Dear Reader,
So this has been a fun-filled week… or not.
So both of my feet have been in casts since Thanksgiving, and nothing has really changed. They have diabetic ulcers on them. They are getting better, but it’s been a slow process. Not complaining, but it’s a part of life for the moment. The original issue was that my right foot had a blister on it two years ago. Since then, I’ve been going to wound care for a variety of reasons. I may go more in-depth in a later post. If so, I’ll update the link in this article when that happens.
In other news, we lent our van to my brother-in-law, who was having car issues since November. It’s been one issue after another with his vehicle. So when we got the chance to purchase another car, we let him use the van until his car was fixed. This past Friday, it finally got fixed. I don’t think I have ever seen him so happy to get something back as he was when he was able to drive his own ride for the first time in months – yes, MONTHS.
I also decided to create an even more personal blog. This mostly was spurred on by the loss of Milo – our dog of eight years. I felt I wanted to jot down my thoughts and feelings about what it meant to lose her. I never really thought I would be so distraught over a pet, but Milo wasn’t just any ordinary dog. So I wrote about it. You can read the post by clicking on this link.
Beyond that, there’s not a lot to report on this week. Though the last was heavy, we were expecting. Probably the best was when brother-in-law got his car back. My wife and I know all too well the feeling of what it’s like to be without a car. In the fourteen years of being married, I think we have gone through a dozen cars. The feeling is not foreign to us, so we felt fortunate that we were in a position to help him out.
Anyways, that is all for now. See you in the next post.
