Dear Reader,
So today has not been my day… at least the latter half of it.
I’ve been trying to clean up some of my social media accounts as well as some other accounts that I log into from time to time. Little did I know that the very measures that I put in place to keep my account secure would be my downfall.
Genealogy Fail
So on two of the accounts that I use for genealogy, I legitimately forgot the logins for them. No problem, just go through the steps to retrieve my account username and passwords. At first, it looked like I would find success with the method I used to obtain the information. The problem was that each time I filled out my security information, the sit timed out. I tried using different web browsers to complete this task, but it was no luck. So being that the two accounts were kinda linked, I tried to go to the other account and get in that way. It was another wasted effort.
I then tried to reach out to the respective support channels on each site. And once again, I got nowhere.
First-World Problems
So it wasn’t like I was going to do some hardcore genealogy, but I at least wanted to check messages and see where I had left off. It just ain’t gonna happen today. First-world problems, right?
It’s not the end of the world if I don’t get into these accounts, but I’d like to get a handle on it before it becomes a real issue later on. I’m just so frustrated because I usually have no problems with this at all. I guess everyone has a day like this, once in a blue moon.
Anyways, this was just a rant post. Chances are I will figure out how to get into my accounts. But for tonight, I’m going to let it rest. Thanks for letting me bend your ear (or eyes) for a second.
Until next time, thanks for reading.
