So in a previous blog, I talked about my dissatisfaction with Lyft. They “temporarily deactivated” my account, due to what they call “safety reasons.”
Each day of each week, I have submitted either calls or emails asking for a follow up to the situation. In all efforts to find information, they have been virtually silent on the matter. Only once did they ask me anything about it, and that was after I had called in multiple times asking for information. After that, they have given me nothing but grief.
I’ve worked with this company for five years and have over 4000 rides. I maintain a 5.0 rating from passengers; yet, I’m treated like a criminal without even a fair and just due process.
Every now and then I might get an agent that would seem sympathetic towards my case, but it always end up being more “smoke and mirrors” – taking the side of this imaginary passenger who complained about me.
I get erring on the side of caution, when it comes to a passenger’s word. But to freeze a driver out for weeks on end with little to no information? It makes a driver not only want to not work with said company, but also to warn other drivers to stop driving altogether for Lyft.
I am beyond frustrated with this situation. When I finally get cleared, I have no recourse to get back an average of money that I might’ve made in that time – nor, will I ever find out who reported me.
All I want right now is to get back to making money. I’ll deal with the crap on the back end, if I ever get there.
